Xi'an Simo Motor is equipped with various models of motor air hoods produced by our factory, mainly including: FRP (fiberglass reinforced plastic) motor air hoods and stainless steel motor air hoods.
FRP Motor Air Hood: Its advantages include never deforming, maintaining stable geometric dimensions for a long time, being resistant to ultraviolet absorption, aging, high temperatures, cracking, corrosion, and various climates. The fiberglass cloth has been treated with a special formula. After being made into products, various physical performance indicators (such as impact strength, flexural strength, tensile strength, and tensile modulus) are much higher than those of ordinary alkali-free fiberglass cloth and medium-alkali cloth.
Stainless Steel Motor Air Hood: Its advantages over ordinary motor air hoods are higher corrosion resistance. Its chemical corrosion resistance and electrochemical corrosion resistance are the best among steels. It has a large ventilation volume, good heat dissipation, high hardness, and operates quietly.
The mold structure of the motor air hood is complex, with a long design and manufacturing cycle, high cost, troublesome adjustment, and is prone to surface defects. All air hood parts are processed by external suppliers. For this reason, the R&D personnel of Taifu Simo Motor have studied the spinning forming process and designed a set of spinning forming tools, which have achieved good results through experiments.
The shape of the motor air hood is very similar to that of a rubber strip. There is a section of wire lead-out at its top structure, and it comes in various sizes.
The main role of using it in the motor is to change the direction of the current, but its specific functions vary in different motors (DC motors and AC motors). In a DC motor, the air hood changes the magnetic poles of the rotor by changing the conductive coils of the rotor, ultimately changing the direction of the motor's movement. In an AC motor, it changes the direction of the current by changing the contact parts of the incoming and outgoing currents.
In addition, the air hood is installed on the commutator or slip ring of the motor and has good electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity, and lubrication performance, etc. It is an important component of the motor.
